Incredibles 2 Rating

I've waited 14 years for this day. This day where I would finally see the sequel to The Incredibles, and find out what happened when they fought the Underminer. And suffice it to say, it was not as good as that first movie. Maybe it felt a bit like a cash grab commissioned by Disney, but that aside, Pixar made another high quality movie. It feels a bit sluggish like the first one, but not as bad as that one. It also feels like a sequel that could have been made in 2008 or 2009 before the explosion of superhero movies following The Avengers, except for the gorgeously realistic animation. As for character moments, I'd like to say they all got their moments, but this was mostly the parents, Violet, and Jack-Jack with Dash just there to be the hyperactive kid with a Chekov's remote. They could have trimmed this movie to tighten the pace, but it'd be hard to decide what to cut. I'm just gonna conclude by saying this movie was a lot grimmer than Pixar usually is, and I didn't really laugh that much, or feel heart-warmed. Either way, still a fun time at the movies for kids and adults.
